Synopsis

Llangollen Station A History by Paul Lawton. The coming of the railway to Llangollen in 1861-62 had a huge effect on the town. Paul Lawton examines such impacts and the history of the station itself until the line closed in 1965.

The book is intended as a tribute to those who worked at the station in the days of the GWR, British Railways and those who restored the station from the dereliction of the 1970s. Llangollen railway is now a preserved line.

The book features more than 70 photographs and illustrations.
