Synopsis

Corwen A Railway Town by Paul Lawton. When the railway came to Corwen in the 1860s, there is no doubt that it lifted the town. In the decades following its arrival there was a rise in both population and prosperity. The station with its huge goods yard was a bustling place.

One hundred years later it had all gone, but the railway has returned thanks to the Llangollen Railway. Includes 70 black and white archive photographs of the railway in its heyday.

At Branchstow Books, we specialise in railway publications. Our particular emphasis is to champion high quality railway books from individual authors and small independent publishers. With this approach, we offer books that are not widely available, and carefully select only the finest books to the extent that each one comes with our recommendation.
