Synopsis
L.T.C. Rolt: A Collector’s Bibliography by Peter Roberts. Rolt, a pioneering engineer and biographer, was the first to recognise the importance of railways and canals, and many other important aspects of our heritage. As one of the founders of the Inland Waterways Association and the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society, Rolt’s role in the preservation of these transport routes is widely acknowledged as significant.
In the decades since the first publication of his book Narrow Boat, Rolt has written many articles and books. This book is the most comprehensive bibliography produced on Rolt, the research was spread over four decades by the author.
It includes new material, such as Strange Vista, Rolt’s first manuscript which remains unpublished, and Cressy’s Log, also unpublished.
With over 1,700 entries covering over 1,000 titles, alongside full colour illustrations, the collector’s task of searching is now made easy via a brand new numbering system.
This is a limited edition book with only a few copies remaining.
