The Old Stroud Brewery 1760-1970 by Marion Hearfield. This history of the Old Stroud Brewery was written in response to a request by a visitor to a local exhibition. He described watching barrels being rolled down by the railway viaduct when he was a lad. As a result, many local people have contributed their stories, photographs and insider knowledge and original documents, which have revealed the early days.
The brewery site now has a new occupant but remnants and memories survive.
